Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our client, a mid-sized specialty insurance company. This is a direct hire position. The position is in Greenway Plaza area/Central Houston. This position will be a hybrid position after the training period, and then you will work in office 3 days a week and can work remotely 2 days a week! They are looking to interview and have someone start ASAP.

Duties include:

Accounts payable and accounts receivable

Bank and general ledger account reconciliation

Month-end close

Journal entries

Miscellaneous accounting duties

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

2+ years of work experience as a Staff Accountant doing A/P, A/R, general ledger, and month-end close duties

Advanced Excel skills required (vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas)

Salary $70-75K
